Raisecom Awarded 2 Million Wi-Fi 5 Residential Routers from China Mobile Procurement Bid
Positioned the 4th place, Raisecom has been awarded with 1.95 million units contract from recent China Mobile’s (CMCC) centralized procurement bid. It is a strategic decision for the world’s largest mobile operator, owning 745 million mobile and 188 million fixed broadband subscribers, to extend its broadband portfolio on top of GPON-dominated FTTH access offerings.
After more than one year of debate and prove of concept tests, all largest ISP telcos in China market have decided to take part in the fierce competition on residential router market, which is believed to contribute over 100 million units sales per year. Choosing the right technological partners becomes the key point to stay competitive. CMCC’s first centralized procurement bid for 15 million Wi-Fi 5 routers has attracted 26 vendors in total.
Being a reliable and long-term technology partner of CMCC, Raisecom has exhibited its quality products and solid market position. The WR135 series full-gigabit dual-band Wi-Fi 5 router has successfully passed CMCC’s strict tests for its intelligent home networking applications. Acting as a central hub device, the router will provide fixed and wireless access for not only subscribers’ electronic gadgets but also CMCC approved smart homing terminals, enabling intelligent home networking and improve subscribers’ experience.
