Raisecom Successfully Completed China Unicom's First OTN-CPE Existing Network Management and Control Pilot Project
As early as the end of 2018, Raisecom began to participate in China Unicom's related research on OTN bearer dedicated line, including the OTN-CPE networking strategy, equipment type, functional performance requirement, project management and laboratory project verification, etc.
Opportunities are always for those who are well prepared. Raisecom had fully participated in the enterprise standard formulation of China Unicom’s OTN-CPE equipment and related follow-up work, and finally was successfully awarded for China Unicom’s access optical transmission (OTN-CPE) equipment procurement bid and became one of the main suppliers for its OTN bearer dedicated line access solution.
At the beginning of this year, Raisecom was invited by China Unicom to conduct the end-to-end OTN-CPE management and control testing in Guangdong, and fully verify the both OTN-U + OTN-A and OTN-A networking modes. In April, as the unique access layer manufacturer, Raisecom completed the service opening of OTN dedicated line from the General Hospital of Guangdong Kanghua Hospital to the Songshan Lake Clinic. The SDN control platform was used throughout the entire process for configuration and distribution as well as the end-to-end service opening. The Guangdong pilot project has accumulated a lot of practical experience for China Unicom to develop its existing network application solution in other provinces.
Raisecom helped China Unicom improve the OTN-CPE service opening process, and became China Unicom's first OTN-CPE practical application vendor nationwide. This cooperation has enabled China Unicom to take a solid step in the development of OTN-CPE bearer dedicated line service, opening a brand new door to the post-MSAP era.
